Frequently Asked Questions

This is where we answer some of the questions you may have about hiring,
one of our Spa-n-a-Box hot tubs. If your question isn't answered here, then please contact us.

How many people can I fit in the hot tub?
It will take 6 people comfortably.

How much does a hot tub spa cost to run?
On average a hot tub spa will cost 0.50p per day to run over the year.

How much space do I need for a hot tub?
A 7 ft by 7 ft clear area is sufficient to install the hot tub.

How do I get the hot tub through my front door?
The hot tubs are collapsible and are stored in boxes. They are made from a plastic membrane, which can be folded up. The side panels are also packed in a separate box. As long as you have a front door, we can get in to install your hot tub.

I have a 10 foot square roof terrace that is accessible via a ladder, can I get a hot tub up there for the weekend?
Yes you can have a hot tub on your terrace, but you need to find out whether your roof terrace is strong enough to hold 2569 lbs, which is how much the tub weighs when filled. You also need access to a tap to fill it up and a drain to empty it.

How do we fill and empty it?
The hot tub can be filled from any tap. You need a hose to fill it up and a drain to empty it.

How long does it take for the hot tub to heat up?
The hot tub will heat approximately 1 to 1-1/2 degree f. per hour; this is why we deliver all our hot tubs a day before they are needed. Leave the hot tub lid on while it's heating up.

How do I maintain the heat in the hot tub?
Place cover on hot tub and lock it place.
Note: Cover must be in place for the hot tub to heat properly.

How much water does it take to fill the hot tub?
 300 gallons.

Why does the water feel cooler after using the turbo jets?
The jets blow cold air through the water to create the bubbles and this cools the water down. We recommend using the turbo jets sparingly.

How do I control the temperature in the hot tub?
Turn thermostat clockwise 3/4 of full turn. Circulating pump will activate and you should have water flow through inlet in tub. This setting should be 98 - 1 00, max water temp is approximately. 104 degrees.

How much does the hot tub weigh when filled up?
A hot tub weighs 2569 lbs when filled with water.

Can I have the hot tub installed anywhere?
All hot tubs must be installed on a structurally sound, relatively smooth and level surface that is strong enough to support it when filled. It MUST be installed on firm, sharp object-free spaces. We will not install the hot tub on grass or dirt, as it will greatly increase debris entering it. We supply a plastic flooring to use with each hot tub. We will inform you if the location that you want the hot tub installed is not suitable.

Can I move the hot tub once it has been delivered?
NO! Once the hot tub is filled up, you must not try to move it. When our hot tubs are delivered, you sign an agreement stating that you will not move the hot tub.

Do I need to have a shower before getting in the hot tub?
Yes you do. This helps keep the water clean and means you have a better and healthier hot tub experience.

How high are the hot tubs?
 27" (with the cover on.)

How wide are the hot tubs?
 73 1/2" (6 ft in diameter.)

Will my floor get wet?
Yes, your floor will probably get wet. We recommend using the hot tub outdoors or in a place where water can easily drain away. The amount of water spilt depends on how many people are in the hot tub, the number of times people get in and out, whether the people are splashing water and if the turbo jets are working.

How Hot Can The Hot Tub Get?
The water in a spa or hot tub should never exceed 40C (104F). Water temperatures between 38C (100F) and 40C (104F) are considered safe for a healthy adult. Lower water temperatures are recommended for extended use (exceeding 10 - 15 minutes) and for young children.
CAUTION: Before entering a spa or hot tub, the user should measure the water temperature with an accurate thermometer since the tolerance of water temperature-regulating devices may vary as much as +/-3C (5F).
